Event Information

Minithon races are for children age 6 to 14 + under 6 fun run

The Minithon races are all held on traffic free roads and are fully marshalled. Entrants of all standards are encouraged. There is a race clock at the finish gantry and plenty of opportunity for parents to support their children. A formal prize giving is held in the arena after the last race. In the past trophies have been presented by the Mayor of Poole. All finishers will receive a quality medal.

All races can be entered on-line, please click ‘Register ‘and then complete the entry details.  It will really help the race organisers if you pre-register before 2pm on Sunday 28th May as this helps with the event planning and ensures we will have enough medals for everyone. Race day entry may be possible but only if spaces are still available.

We welcome teams from schools and other youth organisations.  As many team members as you wish can enter, with the top three fastest times being used to calculate the winning teams.  Please ensure that all team members use exactly the same team name.  Remember to check the results before you leave the park as you may have won a team prize without realising it.

Boys and Girls in all of the age categories will start at the same time.  However, the race results will still be produced separately, with the girls and boys individual and team prizes being presented at the prize giving.

New for 2017 – we have introduced a new category for boys and girls aged 6/7 years.

Under 6’s fun run:  In addition to the above there is an U6’s fun run for children accompanied by an adult.  There is no need to pre register and no payment is required.  No race number will be issued.  Just turn up on the start line to take part.
